This last August I ran my first Half-Marathon! Running a
half-marathon was amazing but as incredible as that was it was the whole
weekend, every event, it was doing it with two dear friends that really
made the event what it was! Training for a half-marathon is intense.
Not for the faint at heart, it means getting up early so you can still
get things done or running late when you would rather be watching TV :)
Perhaps better yet crashing on the couch... Overall though the feeling
as you cross the finish line is totally worth it... Even as the soreness
sets in ;)
SeaWheeze was a Half-Marathon sponsored by
Lululemon, the athletic clothing company. They specialize in Yoga,
Dancing, and Running gear. Their products are fun and effective. This
was their first Half-Marathon and therefore their first SeaWheeze and
admittedly there were a few hiccups; such as running fairly low on gear
at their running expo the day prior to the race. Still Lululemon really
did an incredibly great job! Everything was amazing from packet pick-up
with tons of free gear, (including flip-flops!), to free fresh
watermelon popsicles, followed by free vegan electrolyte gels,
complimentary pedicures, an amazing brunch, cool concert, and a beyond
incredible yoga session on the beach at sunset!!!
