Las Vegas - August 2007

Las Vegas was not what I expected. That's a good thing, let me explain. Most of my life I had been told "don't go there" always the comments hinted at bad things and that nothing good happened there.  What I found, instead of seedy motels and nightlife with nothing but alcohol around, was quite a different matter. The hotel staff was more than friendly. Our pool or should I say pools were crystal clear, gorgeous, and well kept. The sun was warm, the shopping wonderful, and the food - quite simply it was amazing.  To date I am not sure I have ever had a better meal than the one we had at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant there.  This adventure took place a few months after a major surgery and I was still recuperating.  Spending my day by the pool was certainly a wonderful way to do it.
