Walla Walla University - September 2005

Currently in 2011 I am practicing as a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse. This is possible in part as I had the opportunity to attend the nursing program at Walla Walla University. While I traveled growing up I grew up very near a major city; Walla Walla was very foreign to me. I remember my first day at the University. After driving four hours down the Gorge I ended up in the middle of hay fields. Pulling my car into the lot a tumbleweed blew across... I was convinced I had moved to the middle of nowhere: also called College Place, WA; USA.  Never the less after two year's I was allowed to move back to the "big city" as the nursing professors preferred to make sure that the nursing student's had practicums in trauma level one hospitals.  Oddly enough now that my days at WWU are long over I find myself nostalgic for the small town, my quaint dorm room, and the friendly people that made up the college staff and students.  I even enjoy going back and visiting :)
